Age Limit
Candidates must be between 18 and 40 years of age. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per government norms:
OBC/MOBC Candidates: 3 Years.
SC, ST(P), ST(H) Candidates: 5 Years.
PWD Candidates: 10 Years.
Ex-Serviceman Candidates: 2 Years.
Candidates must verify their eligibility for age relaxation from the official notification.
Educational Qualification
To be eligible, candidates must have passed the 10th standard (HSLC) or its equivalent from a recognized board. Additionally, they must possess a National Trade Certificate (NTC) or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in the relevant trade from an institution recognized by NCVT/SCVT. Selected candidates will receive a salary in the pay scale of ₹14,000 – ₹60,500/- per month, along with other admissible allowances as per government rules. The grade pay for the post will be as per the official notification.
DECT Assam Recruitment 2025 Selection Process
The selection process for the DECT Assam Junior Instructor recruitment is a two-stage process:
Written Test: Candidates will first have to appear for a written examination to assess their technical knowledge and general aptitude.
Skill Test: Candidates who qualify in the written test will be shortlisted for a practical skill test to evaluate their proficiency in their respective trade.
