Application Fees

Candidates must pay an application fee based on their category and post. The fee structure is as follows:

For Assistant Professor & Investigator Posts:

  • General (OC): ₹1000/-.
  • OBC/Minorities: ₹500/-.
  • SC/ST/PwD/Ex-Servicemen: ₹250/-.

For Research Fellow & LDC/Typist Posts:

  • General (OC)/OBC: ₹500/-.
  • SC/ST/PwD/Ex-Servicemen: ₹250/-.

Age Limit

The age of candidates will be calculated as of 25th November 2025. The age limits for each post are:

  • Assistant Professor: As per the latest UGC norms.
  • Research Investigator: 18 to 42 years.
  • Field Investigator: 18 to 42 years.
  • Research Fellow – II: 18 to 42 years.
  • LDC / Typist: 18 to 42 years.

Age relaxation for reserved categories will be provided as per Government of India regulations.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must meet the following educational and experience criteria:

  • Assistant Professor: Master’s Degree in Demography, Population Studies, Statistics, or a related field, with experience as per UGC guidelines.
  • Research Investigator: 2nd Class Post Graduate Degree in a relevant subject with computer proficiency and 3 years of experience.
  • Field Investigator: 2nd Class Post Graduate Degree in a relevant subject. Experience in data collection is desirable.
  • Research Fellow – II: 2nd Class Post Graduate Degree in Statistics, Economics, or a related field with at least one year of experience.
  • LDC / Typist: A Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized university with typing and computer knowledge preferred.

PRC Recruitment 2025 Selection Process

The selection procedure is designed to identify the most suitable candidates through a two-stage process:

  1. Shortlisting: Applications will be screened, and candidates will be shortlisted based on their eligibility criteria and qualifications.
  2. Computer Proficiency Test / Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for a Computer Proficiency Test (for relevant posts) and/or a Personal Interview to assess their skills and knowledge.

Final selection will be based on the candidate’s performance in the second stage.
